Fixing common issues
Most hiccups come down to a setting or a data connection. Here are the usual suspects and quick fixes.
The indicator isn't showing on my chart
Make sure it was actually added: right-click the chart, choose Indicators, and confirm the Trading123 item is in the list on the right. Check that its Visible/Plot settings are on, that you're on a supported chart type and timeframe, and reload the chart. If you just imported it, restart NinjaTrader 8 first.
My chart is blank or has no data
This is almost always a data connection issue, not the tool. Check that your data/broker connection is connected in the Connections menu, that the market is open, and that you have a data subscription for that instrument. Our tools only display what NinjaTrader feeds them.
My automated strategy isn't taking trades
Confirm the strategy is enabled (Enabled = true) and running, that it's pointed at the correct account (for example Sim101 for testing), and that your connection and ATM settings are correct. Review the settings against the included manual — and remember the conditions still have to be met for it to enter a trade.
The import failed, or I can't find the tool after importing
Import the .zip exactly as downloaded — don't unzip it first. Use Tools → Import → NinjaScript Add-On in the Control Center, then fully close and reopen NinjaTrader 8 so the tool loads. If it still isn't listed, re-download the file and import again. See Getting Started.
NinjaTrader is running slowly
Close charts and workspaces you aren't using, make sure you have at least 4 GB of RAM (8 GB preferred), and avoid loading excessive historical data. For always-on automated trading, many traders run NinjaTrader on a VPS for consistent performance. See System Requirements.
I'm having a license or activation problem
See the Licensing guide first. If it still won't activate, email info@trading123.net from the address you purchased with and we'll resolve it quickly.
Is it NinjaTrader itself, not our tool?
Some issues sit with the platform rather than a Trading123 indicator or strategy — installing NinjaTrader, data and broker connections, chart setup, workspaces, or the Strategy Analyzer. Those are covered in depth by NinjaTrader's own documentation.
